Popular Front announces scholarship scheme
New Delhi, July 2: Following the three-months long School Chalo campaign across the country, Popular Front of India has launched a scholarship scheme for poor and meritorious students who wish to pursue higher studies after completing Higher Secondary (12th) education.
Applications are invited from students who have secured admission in the academic year 2013–14. This is the third consecutive year Popular front is implementing a national scholarship scheme.
The scholarship is an interest-free loan to the students. Recipients are therefore required to refund the scholarship in easy installments when they join a job or after two years from the completion of the course, whichever is earlier. This is necessary because the scholarship is a grant to the community to be recycled for further benefit of maximum number of needy students.
The scholarship is open to the students who are meritorious but financially needy and have passed (10+2) examination and are desirous to pursue Degree, Diploma Courses or other higher studies whose course duration is not less than a year. Students pursuing PG courses are also eligible.
Application Form duly completed with required documents should be submitted to the concerned Coordinator, Popular Front Loan Scholarship Program-2013 in the following address or should be mail to popularfrontscholarship@gmail.com :-

“The total scholarship amount earmarked for the current year by all states together is Rs one crore which is much more than that of the previous year allotment. We hope to further extend the scheme in the coming years with generous public contribution and support,” said O.M.A Salam, General Secretary, Popular Front of India.
